Chirichiri Cat / Chirichiri Diary / Vol.5

Chirichiri Neko's takoyaki is made on a high-quality copper plate.

We always ask Kono Seisakusho in Osaka to make the copper plates.
This timewe also asked Kono Seisakusho to make the grill.

There are many companies that make grills, and you can even buy them on Amazon.
At first glance they all look similar, but when you use them they are completely different.

For example, the burner on a grill is U-shaped and the side closest to the food being cooked is curved, so depending on the product, there may be fewer holes in the front, resulting in a weaker flame.
Also, after years of use, soot accumulates inside the burner. Some burners are designed to be easy to clean, while others are not.

The grill I ordered this time has a drawer.
The drawer keeps the area under the grill clean, and adding water to the drawer prevents food from burning (which can sometimes be annoying).

When I call Kono Seisakusho, they kindly explain a lot about the grill and copper plates, which is very helpful.
I also miss the Kansai dialect, so I end up talking at length.

Thank you, Kono Manufacturing!

Now I can bake again!

Kono Seisakusho's grill (for 5 plates) and copper plate

The copper plates are handmade by craftsmen, who hammer out each one from copper.
It has excellent heat conductivity, allowing you to make authentic, delicious takoyaki with a beautiful brown color.
