My name is Sai, and I run a rum pudding shop.
Starting in the summer of 2023, I will be setting up a stall at the free sales area of the Mikoda Morning Market on weekends. (It's already my third year...time flies...)
Everyone at the morning market calls him the pudding shop owner or Sai-san.
I don't have a permanent booth (sales space), but I'm a member of the morning market association (which is why I'm writing this...)
The free sales area is a one-day contract,
Generally, booths are rented on a first-come, first-served basis.
However, pudding vendors who are not good at mornings became members to gain the right to make reservations the day before (this still requires early morning action, as you have to go directly to the morning market office the day before to make a reservation, but it also gives them a sense of security knowing they have a place to sell).
I vividly remember the excitement I felt when I opened my first store two years ago.
The vendors and customers at Mikoda Morning Market are all warm and welcoming!
The feelings I had after opening my first store are still the same today.
The best part about "Ichi" is the face-to-face interaction.
I feel like it's because they're enjoying the conversation.

A former midwife in her fifties has opened a rum pudding shop in Morioka City.
Starting in July 2023, we will be opening a stall at the Mikoda Morning Market on weekends (irregularly).
We have also been opening a store at Zaimokucho Yoichi since August.
